Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a relaxing method of healthcare which involves the placement of very thin needles through the skin at specific points on the body to maintain a natural state of balance.

Chinese herbal medicine and food therapy

Herbal formulas address the cause of illness rather than suppressing the symptoms. Select patented formulas are available in tablet form for purchase. Dietary suggestions may be made to improve health.

Cupping

Cups are applied to the surface of the body using suction created by heat, which loosens muscles, encourages blood flow, and sedates the nervous system.

Gua sha

After an application of oil or liniment, the skin is scraped with a smooth-edged tool using short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow.

Massage

Massage is a general term used to describe the manual manipulation of soft tissue. Private acupuncture and cupping sessions typically conclude with a brief massage of the affected area.  For a full body massage session, please click here.

Moxibustion

This heat therapy involves the burning of dried plant materials called "moxa" on or very near the surface of the skin in order to warm and invigorate the flow of qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences.
