Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at carefully selected points on your body, promoting free-flow of qi (your body's life force) to alleviate imbalances which cause pain, discomfort, and dis-ease, thus improving your health and overall wellness. These points may be located on the affected area, on your ear (known as Auricular Acupuncture, similar to Reflexology, based on the concept of Microsystems), or "distal points" on your arms and legs.
Cupping is a non-invasive medical technique where a vacuum is created when the cups are placed on your skin in order to improve circulation and promote healing. Historically, these cups were made from bamboo or animal horn; today it is common to see cups made of silicone, plastic, and ceramic. Because Santee Acupuncture uses fire to create the suction, and for sanitary purposes, your experience will be with glass cups.

If you do not make time for wellness, you will be forced to make time for illness.
