Melissa founded Santee Acupuncture in 2017. She is a California Licensed Acupuncturist and nationally certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. Melissa earned a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine after being certified in Asian Bodywork Therapy. Clinical internships included in-patient oncology and out-patient chronic pain at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, and she earned a certificate in Acupuncture and Moxibustion, Tui Na, and Internal Medicine in Sichuan, China, at Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hospital. Melissa is a mother of two and enjoys visiting family and friends out of town whenever possible.
James comes from a strong community acupuncture background and, in his private practice, specializes in women's fertility. Clinical training included internships at the First Lutheran Church free clinic in Downtown San Diego which supports a large geriatric community, and residency at Pacific College Acupuncture Clinic. James has practiced Martial Arts for 30 years with Kempo being his primary discipline, which opened the door to Kung Fu, Aikido, Qi Gong, and Tai Ji. When not practicing traditional Chinese medicine, James enjoys outdoor activities including surfing, camping, rodeo, fishing, and barbecuing with his family and friends.
April Collins has been awarded Best Massage Therapist in East County and has ranked top 10 in San Diego. Her modalities include deep tissue, cupping, and reiki. She offers 60 and 90 minutes sessions by appointment.
